Lou will be competing for the WS 2028 Team in the Santa Barbara Showdown (Oct. 19-20, 2024); and Sin City Showdown (Dec. 14-15, 2024). She will also be competing at the IWLCA Debut (Nov. 23-24, 2024) with our affiliate 2028 True Lacrosse Team.

Awards/Recognition: Lou was a member of the Jackson Hole 14U Team, which topped 22 other teams to win the 2024 IMLAX Utah Girls Championship. As a 2028 player, Lou was selected by her teammates to serve as a captain for her 2027 Division team at the 2023 IWLCA Southwest Cup. She was also selected as the “Player of the Match” by the opposing team, LA Select 2027, at the 2023 IWLCA Southwest Cup! Lou also plays ice hockey as the only girl on the coed Teton Valley Cutthroats Bantam Team, who won the 2024 Spring Fling Tournament and the 2024 Salmon Rapids Tournament. She is also a member of the 14U AA Wyoming State Girls Ice Hockey Team, who competed nationally during the 2023-2024 season and won the 2023 Adele Mountain Divas Tournament in Steamboat Springs. She was selected as a Malone Scholar Class of 2028.

Interesting Facts: Lou’s fearlessness and skills on the ice help her shine between the pipes on the lacrosse field. Lou was nicknamed the “hummingbird goalie” by Western Select’s opponents because although she is petite, she is fierce and moves at lightning-fast speed within the goal circle while making acrobatic saves! Lou is also one of the fastest runners on Western’s team, and she isn’t afraid to come out of the goal circle and carry the ball down the field. She can also play on the field. When not at the rink or on the lacrosse field, Lou enjoys baking, skiing, and camping. Lou's dad, Josh, is an avid ice hockey player and has coached her since age 4. Lou’s mom, Betsy, played college lacrosse for Kenyon.

She was selected as a captain in the 2024 fall season for her Western 2028 Team by her teammates. Gabi earned 2024 First Team All-League as an 8th grader on the Millard North High School Team. She was selected by US Club Lacrosse a “2028 Player to Watch” at the 2024 Sandstorm Tournament. She was selected as the “Player of the Match” by the opposing team, ADVNC NDP 2027, at the 2023 IWLCA Southwest Cup! She received the Coaches’ Game Ball for WS 2027’s game against BC Freshman at the 2023 IWLCA Southwest Cup. She received the Coaches’ Game Ball for WS 2027’s game against Vortex Elite 2027 at the 2023 Santa Barbara Showdown. As a 2028 player, she was 1st in caused turnovers, 2nd in both goals and assists, and tied for 4th in draw controls and ground balls for her WS 2027 team during the 2023 Fall Season, with a 64% shooting average.

Gabi has consistently achieved the Highest Honor Roll, reserved for students who achieved a 4.0 GPA. She is in an advanced Math class.

Interesting Facts: Gabi has dual citizenship with the Czech Republic. Gabi is a 4.0 student who is in an advanced math class. She also competed for her school’s track team in the spring of 2024. She previously competed in basketball, soccer, swimming, and Jiu Jitsu. Gabi's brother, Kuba, is an accomplished high school football and baseball player, recently playing in the U-15 World Cup in Hermosillo Mexico. She was also voted Tournament MVP by her teammates for the 2024 Park City Showdown. Dani was a member of the Jackson Hole 14U team that topped 22 other teams to win the 2024 IMLAX Utah Championship. Dani consistently achieves the Principal’s Honor Roll reserved for students who have a 4.0 GPA. In 2022, Dani was selected to compete with Western Select’s 2026 Team at the Youth Festival held in conjunction with the Women’s Lacrosse World Championship in Towson, MD when she was only a 6th grader (2028). She is a member and the assistant captain of the Jackson Hole Moose 16U Ice Hockey Team. Dani was a member and the assistant captain of the 14U Team Wyoming. She was a member of the 14U Team that won the 2024 WGHL 14AA Division Championship in double overtime and the 2023 Bozeman MT Tournament.

In 2022, she was chosen as captain of her Teton Valley Lacrosse Club team. Claire was also awarded the 2022 Wolverine Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Teton Valley Lacrosse Club. She also received the Coaches’ Game Ball in WS 2027’s game against LA Select 2027 at the 2023 IWLCA Southwest Cup. Lucy was 3rd on the team in assists and draw controls, tied for 3rd in ground balls, and tied for 5th in goals for her WS 2027 team during the 2023 Fall season. Lucy has a 4.0 GPA. She is the leading scorer and top points contributor for her Sun Valley Lacrosse Club team.

Interesting Facts: Lucy currently plays midfield for both her school soccer team and the Sun Valley Soccer Club. Lucy was a starter for her High School soccer team as a freshman and her team made an impressive showing in the 2024 District and Idaho State playoffs. Lucy also plays tennis, enjoys skiing, and is an avid reader. Prior to moving to Idaho, Lucy played three years of club lacrosse for Mad Dog in San Diego. Tournament Schedule: This is Brey’s sixth season with Western Select. Brey will be competing for the WS 2028 Team at the Santa Barbara Showdown (Oct. 19-20, 2024); Sin City Showdown (Dec. 14-15, 2024); and the Sandstorm tournament (Jan. 18-19, 2025). She will also be competing at the IWLCA Debut (Nov. 23-24, 2024) with our affiliate 2028 True Lacrosse Team.

Awards/Recognition: Brey was selected as a captain for her 2024 fall season Western 2028 Team by her teammates. In the 2024 Summer Tournament Season, she tallied 53 goals and 38 assists in 23 games. Brey was selected to the All-Tournament Team in the 2028 Division of the 2024 Park City Showdown. Brey was a member of the Jackson Hole 14U Team that topped 22 other teams to win the 2024 IMLX Utah Championship. She was selected by US Club Lacrosse as a 2028 “Player to Watch” at the 2024 Sandstorm Tournament, where she led her team in goals and assists. As a 2028 player for Western Select’s 2027 Division Team, Brey was selected as a captain by her teammates for the 2023 IWLCA Southwest Cup. Brey received the Coaches’ Game Ball for WS 2027’s game against ADVNC NDP 2027 at the 2023 IWLCA Southwest Cup and for WS 2028’s game against Minnesota Select at the 2024 Sandstorm Lacrosse Tournament. In the 2023-2024 Fall/Winter Tournament Season, she led the WS 2027 team in assists, was 2nd in draw controls and caused turnovers, 3rd on the team in goals, and tied for 3rd on the team in ground balls. She was also selected by US Club Lacrosse as a “2027 Player to Watch” at the 2023 Sandstorm Lacrosse Tournament.

Brey has consistently achieved the Principal’s Honor Roll, reserved for students who have a 4.0 GPA, and was a top student in 10th-grade geometry as an 8th grader. She received the Jackson Hole Middle School Athlete of the Week Award five times for her performance, hard work, and integrity on behalf of her school’s basketball team.

Interesting Facts: Brey also plays point guard for her high school and the AAU Teton Avalanche basketball teams. When she is not competing, Brey enjoys skiing and horseback riding. Brey’s mother, Kendra Basner Mallen, played Division 1 lacrosse for Duke University, where she was the captain of its first NCAA Final Four team. Her father, Seth, was a founding member of the men’s lacrosse program at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, California. Brey’s grandmother, Kim Basner, is a member of the USA Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Her grandfather, Ron Mallen, competed in Division 1 track & field at Stanford University. Her grandfather, Greg Basner, was a football and basketball star at Widener University. Brey’s uncle, Ryan Basner, was a Division 1 pitcher for Western Carolina University’s baseball team and played professional baseball for the Atlanta Braves. Her uncle, Justin Mallen, was a goalie for the men’s lacrosse team at Bowdoin College.
